Turned 40: Oct. 29 Kicking off the year, Fisher celebrated another milestone, her 10-year wedding anniversary to Christopher Duddy, with a New Year’s Eve vows renewal on the beach in Mexico’s Nuevo Vallarta – where the couple first honeymooned. Of the weekend-long party that drew family and friends, including Mariska Hargitay and Ricki Lake, mom of two Fisher told InStyle Weddings, “It was a magical moment.”
Turned 40: Sept. 28 The Reservation Road actress has an Oscar, two babies and a husband nearly 15 years her junior, actor Christopher Backus. So what more could she want? “I’d love it,” she joked to PEOPLE, “if I was independently wealthy and could stop acting and just focus on being a mom and activism.” Already she’s been working with the Global Fund for Children and has been vocal about human trafficking. “Help is not always reaching our most precious, vulnerable human beings,” Sorvino told CNN. “You just want to scream and cry and do everything that you can.”
