Daryl Hannah is hopping mad over her November appearance as a Playboy bunny.
The actress, 40, has talked to high-powered Hollywood lawyer Marty Singer about suing the magazine, her rep confirms to the New York Post. Howard Stern said on-air Wednesday that the actress – who appeared on his show Tuesday morning – told him she was “devastated” by the layout that appears in the new issue, and was planning to sue.
The actress posed for the girlie mag wearing only a pair of fur boots, and said in her interview that her “favorite thing is to be naked,” notes New York’s Daily News. But an unnamed friend tells the Post’s Page Six column that Hannah is purportedly steamed because she was promised full approval of the photos, and Playboy used pics she didn’t authorize.
A Playboy rep tells the Post that “to our knowledge, Daryl Hannah has not filed a lawsuit against Playboy. Ms. Hannah personally selected the photographer and we think the result is a beautiful, groundbreaking photo essay.”
Singer, meanwhile, did not immediately return a call for comment.
Hannah is making a comeback of sorts this year, with appearances in Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill” and John Sayles’s “Casa de los Babys.” She turned up with veteran director Peter Bogdanovich for the New York premiere of “Kill Bill” on Tuesday night, telling Fox News that these days, her favorite of her older movies is the futuristic noir film “Blade Runner” – not “Wall Street,” “Splash” or even “Steel Magnolias.”
“I love action films,” Hannah said. “I like it when the action is very stylized.”
