Even an Oscar winner can have problems at home.
Confirming months of tabloid rumors,
“During the period of my most significant public success, my private life faced a staggering crisis,” Berry, 36, admits in an interview that appears in the December issue of Essence magazine. “All romantic relationships suffer crisis; no woman can claim otherwise.”
Berry, however, stops short of confirming in the interview that her husband, also 36, sought treatment for sex addiction at an Arizona clinic earlier this year, a claim that the tabloids had reported.
Meanwhile, on a more upbeat note, Reuters reports that Berry’s character in the new 007 adventure, U.S. agent Jinx, may be headed for her own spin-off movie – a first for a Bond girl.
Zap2it.com quotes Bond series producer Barbara Broccoli as saying, “There are talks about it. We are considering it.” Should the project shape up, Berry tells E! Entertainment Television, “I would do it in a heartbeat.”
Of the character, who helps Bond (Pierce Brosnan) catch the villain, Berry says, “She is sexy. She is sure of her sexuality and how to use it, almost as a weapon. She is very intelligent. She is Bond’s equal. … She saves him a few times in the movie, and they have a great partnership.”
